Lavender was the color this week. One of my favorite colors of all time!! I had so much fun playing around with my camera to capture this color.
This week I decided to try something new. When I found these teeny tiny buds of color popping out of the snow and ice, I decided to get out my tripod and use my macro reverse ring. It was my first time actually trying to use my ring. I'm really happy with the way these first shots turned out. They aren't perfect, but I'm loving that this project is sparking my creativity with my photography! It's a great excuse to make myself try new things!

To get an idea of how zoomed in I was, check out this picture on my flickr, taken from further away. I'm not sure what it is exactly but it's blooming on a some kind of shrubbery.

The color is spot on!
I'd love to know what they are. I wonder if the snow will hurt them.
Love this! And yes, it totally matches the color we were hunting this week. :)

ReplyDeleteVery awesome shot indeed. So creative. I like too the other image on flickr. It matters not what it is-it's color coming out of the snow, so it's all good.
ReplyDeleteThe lavender here is luscious. The ice crystals add another layer of coolness to the photo. Lovely.
