Bloggers Day of Silence for Japan

Yesterday, you may have noticed that my blog, and other blogs in your readers, were quieter than usual.

That's because it was "Bloggers Day of Silence".

In memory of those who couldn't speak anymore, and those in pain in Japan after the devastating earthquake and tsunami, we vowed to not post anything on our blogs on March 18th. To hopefully bring your attention to a nation that needs our help during this horrible disaster.

But, we didn't stop there.

We've all seen the news, we all wish there was something we could do to help.
Well, nothing is stopping us.
I saw on CNN that Sandra Bullock donated 1 million dollars to Japan, and I thought why don't we all donate some? Not everyone has that much money to donate, but everyone can spare some. Even a couple dollars, ten, or maybe even a hundred. When you add it all together it can ALL help. Together we are strong!

Two blogs Ever Ours and Utterly Engaged got together to form the page

Their goal was to raise awareness within the blogging community, and hopefully to raise $5,000, enough to give 5 families a Shelter Box (tent, cooking supplies, etc). Now, thanks to the outpouring of kind generous people, they've raised over $48,000 in just a few days!
Amazing!!
Read more about what it is, and how it got started here.

I encourage you to PLEASE go donate and help these families out during these desperate times.
I'm proud to say that I've donated to this wonderful cause.

Much love to Japan and all their people.
