Shop Update & Blog Feature on Aisle to Aloha!

It's been a while since I've shown you the newest stuff in my shop!
I've been very busy adding lots of new stuff and I have stuff that I'm hoping to add later today so keep an eye on my shop for those new paintings.

One of my new favorites is this happy Yellow Songbird. He would make a great addition to any table, desk or bookshelf! It even includes the mini easel for instant display right out of the box! I really love this happy bird collage!

I've also added 4 new prints to my shop. (I don't want to overload you, so I'm only posting one of them here) Another Day, Another Dream is my newest original turned print. You can also get Find Your Yellow in print form, as well as Summer Pinwheel and 3 Hearts which originals are no longer up in my shop.

I've been inspired by patterned paper and find myself making a lot of collages lately. My newest one is this calming Bloomin which is covered with abstract flowers and designs and the colors are sure to soothe you.

And I'm FINALLY I'm super excited to be offering Gift Certificates in my shop! These are prefect if you want to get someone special an original painting or art print for their home or office but aren't sure exactly what they want. These can be emailed for an quick gift or sent through the mail. Your choice!

My Granny Square Blanket!! {And Bedroom Tour}

This past weekend, I FINALLY finished the granny square blanket for our bedroom. Yipee for me!! It's ginormous! It almost covers our entire queen size bed! I thought I would share some pictures of the blanket and also give you a tour of our new bedroom in our new house in Germany.

Here I've spread it out on the bed and you can see how big it is. I decided that every couple of years when we move, I'm going to let myself change up the bedroom. A couple new paintings, and new throw and some new pillows for the bed and I've got a whole new look. My mom gave us this beautiful white comforter for an early Christmas present this year so it creates a clean backdrop for easy changes later. Love the bright pops of color!!

The beautiful peacock pillows are from Pillowmio Etsy Shop, and the heart painting is one I did last summer.

I adore this elephant. I got him for only a few bucks at a grocery store. He was marked down on clearance for their garden decorations at the end of the summer last year. Our family friend Nancy had one in her house and I knew I wanted one for mine too! He's so adorable!

And, so you can see how big the blanket is again, here I am snuggled up in it! Hahaha!

This was truly a labor of love and I'm so happy to be done with it! Now on to my next granny square blanket?!

New Paint and Paper!

There are a few new things I wanted to post about today. First, really quick I wanted to show you my new business cards. These are new for this year. They're cool huh? I designed them myself with my own artwork! This picture shows the front and back. I seriously love them!

ALSO, I'm super excited to announce I am now offering  art prints in my shop!  I have posted 4 prints to start with, but there are more designs that are going to make the cut to become prints. This is something I've been wanting to offer in my shop for a while now. A less expensive way to showcase some artwork around your home. I love how they look when they are matted and framed! Be sure to check them out and keep your eye on my shop for new ones soon! 

I want to say congrats to Annselma who won my print giveaway on my fanpage. "You Are Here" print will be headed your way very soon!

Remember my first mixed media "Love It"?

Well, I recently sold it to a sweet girl as a gift for her sister. Saying goodbye to it, inspired me to make some more mixed media art.

 

I created Imagine Peace after visiting the John Lennon Wall in Prague earlier this month. I got so inspired! It's so pretty there, and all the graffiti layering on top of each other made you want to sit and stare at the wall for hours.

I also created another abstract piece, No 2. I love abstract because everyone gets a different feeling when looking at it. This piece has fun bright colors and a playful feel to me.

So, there you have it, 2 of my new paintings, art prints and my new business cards (love)! I've been feeling so inspired lately. I'm having a hard time finding enough free time to sit and paint. Add to that the fact that I'm in desperate need for some new canvases. I hope to be ordering some more soon, so I can get all these ideas out on canvas!

You Are Here

This painting was inspired by treasure maps and the "you are here" signs in the amusement parks. Oh yea, and of course cloud 9. The clouds have inspired me recently. Some of us are on cloud 9, while others of us are still searching for it. This little painting serves as a gentle reminder. Be present, be here.

3 NEW Paintings and some news!!

I've had this first design in my head for the past few months. I finally put it on a canvas. I'm so in love with this painting. I think it's by far one of my favorites. I really love how it turned out. It makes me happy just to look at it, and I hope it does the same for you! Of course it's inspired by love and happiness and being on "cloud 9"

I also posted an abstract that I love. It's lovely like the night sky!

And a special little treat just for you!! CUSTOM Zodiac paintings! I only have a few of these size canvases left so hurry and get one!

They will be customized with 2 zodiac signs painted in the stars around the edges. I made this one for me and my hubs (Leo and Gemini)! It's propped up by my sewing machine! I love it!

A custom triptych painting that I made for my sister. I surprised her with them!

These paintings sat around half done for the longest time. 

I finished them the day before we hopped on a jet plane headed for Germany.

I really love how it turned out! The colors are amazing in person, if I do say so myself.

I'm going to be a happy girl to get my craft studio set up here! One more month, one more month!

Sometimes, they just explode on the page without me even thinking what I'm going to do. At the end I just sigh because I feel so much better.

It kinda looks like passion and desire. Burning love. I'm not sure.
