Little Fireworks for Flowers

Spring is starting to spring up in our very own backyard. 

Who would have thought that we would have bright little  flower buds popping up in the middle of our yard!?
Just one of the little adventures of moving to a new house, you never know what you are going to get!

I'm totally loving these bright purple ones with the orange centers! How fun are they!?! I wish they were big enough (and there were more) so I could bring some inside a put in a vase. These are only about the size of my thumb, I don't know exactly, they're small.

Now for my Fill In The Blank Friday fun:

1.   The phrase or punctuation I overuse most is       Definately something I use a lot is !!! But, I don't think there is anything wrong with being excited! :) Oh and I say "that's lame" a lot.

2.  Today I am thankful for    the fact that today is the 4th sunny day in a ROW!! It's gotta be a record for Germany, at least since we've been here   .

3.  My best friend is    Well, besides my husband, it's my friend Maggie who's been my best friend since like 4th or 5th grade   .

4.  A quirky thing about me is    I salt my food first and then I pepper it. I swear it tastes different, probably not really, but I still do it that way anyway .

5.  This weekend I     will be working on a custom painting for someone special, and enjoying Sunday off with my husband  .

6.  Something that worries me is        The fact that the gas/water company for our Omaha house told us that they've been estimating our bill for the past 3 years and when we had them come check the meter they told us that they would need to tear down a wall in the basement to get to the meter. Of course they never would come when we actually lived there and now that we're aren't there to deal with it, they need to tear down a wall? WTH?!? 

7.  On my night stand you would find       a lamp, my cell phone, chapstick, lotion, a hair twistie, and The Weight of Silence, the new book I started last night  .

Fill In The Blank Friday

Today is Fill in The Blank Friday! I haven't joined in this fun in a while. I decided I would today!

1.   I am currently obsessed with      PINWHEELS. I love them! They remind me of fun and childhood and summer. If I had another baby right now, I would totally decorate the nursery in pinwheels!

2.  Today I am    happy but irritated      because,    happy because the commissary had butternut squash (finally) and irritated because I keep feeling like I need to sneeze but then it never happens. I hate that, so annoying.

3.  The age I am is    26     and the age I feel is   19 haha, half the time I still feel so young and like we are newlyweds. It's hard to believe I'm even 26, but I am :)

4.  My favorite place is     snuggling in bed with my family on the weekends, OR maybe on an airplane on our way somewhere fun. I love the excitement right before a vacation!

5.  Something I have been procrastinating is     finding a place for the few boxes of stuff we don't have room for. Living in a house with no closets is challenging .

6.  The last thing I purchased was        ice cream with Desiree and the girls   .

7.  The thing I love most about my home is  I'm not going to lie, it's my HUGE kitchen. I always felt so cramped in our last kitchen (as much as I adored our little house) This kitchen is like 4 times the size and it's great because Ariana can play in there while we cook.

Spring: flowers, wreath, and FITBF

Look what is blooming at our house! Aren't they pretty! I can't believe they are already blooming since it's only just started to feel Springy around here. I have no idea what they are, they must have been planted by the people who owned the house before us. A nice surprise for me, they didn't bloom last year!

In honor of Spring finally being here, I decided to make a Spring wreath. I wanted to use up some random things I had around my house, mostly things left over from Ariana's birthday party.

And now...here are my Fill in the Blanks!

1.  The best piece of advice I was ever given was     when you are trying to decide whether or not to do something, just think later on will I regret doing this, or NOT doing this. Sometimes thinking in the future helps you make up your mind  .

2.  If I had a million dollars to give to one charity I would give it to    I really have no idea, maybe Safe Shelter for Women and Children. It gives them somewhere safe to get away from domestic violence.

3.  If I got to choose my "last meal" it would be      Wow, I love food so much this is hard...my husbands toasted ravioli with spinach cream sauce, white wine, and chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert .

4.  My hair is     a wild and crazy mess this morning. I'm not even looking forward to having to brush it out    .

5.  If at first you don't succeed   take a break and come back and try again once you are refreshed   .

6.  I have always been very      a very shy person. Everyone says I'm so quiet when they first meet me but once you get to know me then I really open up.   .

7.  Oh....and by the way....      my favorite Sesame Street character when I was little was Count von Count. Who was yours???    .

Another Friday, another Fill in the Blank! Play along and link up on Lauren's blog.

1.  Today I am wearing     my pajamas still. It's been a lazy morning and it's cold and yucky outside. I'm not in the mood to get dressed or do anything productive.    .


2.  My favorite childhood food was   probably my moms meatloaf dinner    and my favorite food  now is   that's a hard one. I love all kinds of food, depends on what I'm in the mood for. Right now I'm in the mood for sushi! I LOVE pastas though and my moms meatloaf dinner is still at the top of my favorite food list!  .


3.  A day that I am too busy to     get on the floor and play with Ariana    is a day that I am too busy.


4.  The last movie I saw was      "Love Sick" (a Lifetime movie)     and the next movie I want to see is     "Alice in Wonderland" This weekend!!  .


5.  My favorite smell is     the smell of Barnes and Noble   because,      what is better than the smell of coffee and books! :) I just want to stay in there for hours and sip lattes and read books   .


6.  A weird little quirk I have is      that I salt my food before I pepper it. Salt and Pepper, it has to be in that order .


7.  When I take personality quizzes they always say I'm      usually quiet until people get to know me. I've very creative personality and a loyal friend

Today, Rich is at the base out processing his shop and the base. Kinda of sad today. I'm not ready for him to leave us :*(
