Painting with bubbles.
This is the one project I wanted to do for letter B week, but with the weather last week I didn't get around to it. I decided to do it today anyway and I'm glad because it was so much fun.
It started out with some Crayola Colored Bubbles and in the end Ariana looked like this.
Blowing the bubbles on the paper was pretty and even the splatter was nice but we decided we needed more. I mixed together some dish soap, water, and food coloring for the other bubbles and gave them to her in a cup with a straw.
Those quickly became finger paints!
And then foot paints!
Of course more purple bubbles.
She got a little bit of Jackson Pollock going on when she started splattering the paints and moving from one color to the other. She told me "I'm creating art!" She totally loved getting messy and artsy with this outside today!
The finished product was really pretty!
Once it was dry, the purple Crayola bubbles dried clear though, that was a bummer. But, it was definitely a project we'll be doing again with more experimenting.

ReplyDeleteNow that looks like fun! I wanna play.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! You must be the best mom ever to let her get that "colorfully dirty"! :)
ReplyDeleteSo cool! I loved that the bubbles were making interesting little prints on the paper!
ReplyDeleteAnd she is too cute! Quite the little artist.
Like Mom. Like Daughter.
