Scavenger Hunt Sunday (16)

This Scavenger Hunt Sunday the prompts were sent in by me! How fun to be part of this project! I'm excited to check out everyones interpretations for these!

1. Beneath Your Feet:

I decided to go with this broken glass littering a nature trail from a few days ago. You can see my reflection in it! (When I'm out exploring nature, nothing makes me angrier than finding trash some inconsiderate people left behind.)

2. Capturing Movement:

Trying to capture Ariana while swinging and leaving the background blurred. This was hard. She moved a lot! I did get the chain in focus and the background blurred, so it was a minor accomplishment.

3. Texture:

Some colorful textured rocks found while exploring  castle ruins.

4. Face Your Fears:

One word. Spiders!

5. Currently:

Currently, chasing butterflies! My most recent butterfly photo is of this Large Tortoiseshell Butterfly.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday (15)

This week I thought I would jump back into Scavenger Hunt Sunday. All the photos for this week are from our recent trip to Holland last weekend. I'm still sorting through the THOUSAND photos I took so look for more vacation pictures later this week. Hopefully this sneak peak will bring you back for more!

Yellow:
This single yellow brick on the pathway winding through Keukenhof Flower Garden in Holland caught my eye.

Makes Me Smile:
Ok so this isn't the best photo but I captured the distress on Ariana's face when they brought out our seafood dinner with whole cooked fish, eyeballs and all. It made me laugh but she was a champ and tried everything!

Ancient or Antique:
I'm thinking this falls into the category of Ancient. It's the door on the old lighthouse in The Hague, Holland.

Splash:
Little fuzzy duckling enjoying a rainy fountain in the Keukenhof Flower Garden, Holland.

In The Sun:
I captured this sunset run on the shore of the North Sea. We stayed in The Hague a few nights and wandered down to enjoy the beach sunsets while we were there. I love the silhouettes of the dog and his person running in the sun.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday (14)

Another week of Scavenger Hunt photos.

Abstract
Ariana had fun with finger painting this week. Her work is very abstract.

Round
These dewdrops were amazingly beautiful to me.

Fire
Tomatoes in a fiery red color, not taste. Yum!

Faces in Strange Places
I love finding faces in places but this week I didn't happen to find any. I think it's one of those things as soon as you start looking they are elusive. But I pulled this from the archives from my Faces in Places post.

Stars
Meh. I had this awesome idea to try to capture stars in the night sky but of course mother nature had other plans. I did snap this quickly of Ariana's sparkly silver shoes reflecting the light on the back of the seat in the car. Kind of like stars right?

Scavenger Hunt Sunday (13)

1. Landscape
Yesterday I was trying to capture the golden sunlight as well as the beautiful German countryside.

2. Complementary or Triadic Color
I pulled this from my archives from last month but I love it for this prompt and for Autumn.
Triad variation colors, green and orange.

Linking up with Exploring with a Camera:

3. Black and White
My friend and I took a day trip to Sarreguemines France this weekend for some French pastries!

4. Food
End of summer peaches.

5. Blank Space
I didn't really know where to go with this prompt so I sort of interpreted it as empty. There should be a key in this lock.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday (12)

Umm, it has kind of been forever since I've joined this fun party. The prompts this week sounded fun and got my creativity going so I jumped back in.

Inspired by a Book or Movie:
Do you know what book? Twilight of course. This was the first thing to come to mind when I saw the prompt.

Brown:
Brown spider crawling along the other day.

Hazy:

Coffee or Tea:
Coffee obviously! I love it, and I'm sure some of you can appreciate this photo!

Linger:
The baby snails linger on my hand when I hold them.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday (11)

It's Sunday and I'm back with a fun Scavenger Hunt.

1. Windows or Doors
The window to a shed in our backyard. I liked how these three window panes are all different textured glass and our landlord actually hung lace curtains inside.

2. Eyelashes
Me

3. Paint
Ariana using her watercolor for a project this week.

4. Leaf Veins
Did you see the ant? This is a sickly rhubarb plant. Pretty huh?!

5. Faceless Portrait
I was so excited this week when I found my owl necklace that I thought got lost in the move!
Selfie mirror portrait.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday (10)

Wow, I can't believe I've already taken part in 10 of these! Doesn't feel like it could be that many already!

Lucky you, you get a sneak peek at a few of my shots from Paris this weekend. Off we go....

Give Me Flowers:
Close up of one of my roses from my Mother's Day bouquet. I rarely get flowers because husband thinks since flowers barely seem to last a week, that it's a waste of money and he'd rather buy me something I can keep and use, like a new lens (wink, wink). I agree, but I still do love getting flowers!

Visual Contrast:
I saw this flower growing in a completely concrete parking lot one day. Of course it was a day I didn't have my camera with me. I went back the next day with my camera and took the picture!

Friendship:
Looks like two little kids playing, well it is, but this picture is special. Ariana (on the left) is mine and speaks English. The little girl on the right spoke French. AAAANNNDD this was taken in a park right beside the church of Notre Dame. So surreal. Children make friends anywhere and everywhere, play has no language barrier!

Before and After:
Ariana and I did a little coloring the other day. I'll give you a hint, I colored Zoe :)

Dark:
DARK chocolate filled pastry in Paris (I could live off this buttery, flaky, chocolatey goodness) Oh and Starbucks. Gotta start my mornings out right!

Oh and be sure to come back later this week for more Paris pictures from this weekend!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday (9)

Sorry this is a day late but I just couldn't pull it together yesterday.

SOOC (Straight Out Of Camera)
I was playing around with more rimmed with light and spiderwebs I found the other day.

Sprouting
The gray branches that I took for P64: Gray (left) has now sprouted little green leaves and white flowers (right)

Isn't it Ironic?
How kids have all kinds of gadgets and toys and still sometimes nothing is more fun than playing with rocks outside!

Lazy
Cats have it made. Such a life. Nobody expects anything from them, they can just lay around and be lazy all day.

Smells like Spring
 Cheeseburgers on the grill! Yum!!!

 I'm linking up with SHS:

Hope all you Moms had a lovely Mother's Day yesterday!! I know I did and I'm getting special treatment today since my husband had to work yesterday!! Yay for strawberry cheesecake pancakes that are being whipped up as I type!
