Confessions of a Pinterest Foodie (5)

When it's time to make my grocery list or weekly menu I head over to my pinterest to find some new recipes almost every week. I recently created a "weekly menu" board to save my recipes I'm using that week to and it changes constantly. It's just a great place to save the recipes I'll be using during the week. Then of course I save them to my "food love" board or whatever category they fall under.

To see my other favorites from pinterest check out my favorite pinterest recipes posts here.

We just finished off a batch of this yummy, healthy dessert. Quick and easy and our 4 year old approves!

This....THIS is probably the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. No, I'm not joking. These are amazing and everyone needs to have one as soon as you can get your hands on these ingredients. Spinach, avocado, cheeses, oh they are heavenly.

Go, go, go! We felt energized after eating these espresso muffins!

If you love hummus you'll love this chicken. For some reason it took ours longer to bake than the recipe said.

This chocolate pudding was probably the most adventurous thing I've tried on pinterest. Chocolate pudding made with avocado? Yep, it works! I didn't even tell my family that I made it with avocados and they were surprised and liked it! Definitely need to make this again soon!

Pretty much death by cake but SO worth it. I made this for my hubby's birthday this year. Two blondie layers, a cheesecake layer, two kinds of chocolate and lots and lots of sugar! Very rich birthday cake!

I'm from the Georgia so I was craving some crab stew and this hit the spot pretty well. Not as good as getting fresh crab stew in Savannah but I'll take it.

Confessions of a Pinterest Foodie (3)

My husband and I love making new foods. We love cooking together with some good music playing in the background. Pinterest is one of our favorite places to find new recipes for making. Along with Southern Living and Food Network magazines. Here are some of the new ones we've tried lately. To see more pinterest food recipes I've tried, check out my foodie 1 and foodie 2 posts.

Cilantro Lime Chicken. Don't you just love slow cooker recipes, especially when they are easy and full of flavor. My husband was skeptical of this recipe when I told him but we all really loved it!

Black Bean Spinach Enchiladas. This was part of my recent "twice a week vegetarian dishes to cut down on meats in our diet. I've already made this several times it's that amazing! Like seriously AMAZING!

Bacon Mushroom Honey Dijon Chicken. These flavors are perfect and all that cheesy goodness, yum! My husband loved walking into this cooking on the stove after work!

Espresso Pumpkin Sweet Rolls. I have to admit, for the amount of work these took I was expecting them to be better. Don't get me wrong, they were still good. There are two recipes on this link and we all enjoyed the sticky buns with the pecans over the sweet rolls with the frosting.

Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese. This was a way to secretly get veggies into a kid approved food. Our daughter isn't really that picky and eats most of her veggies pretty well but I think every parents tries to get in more veggies if can. This was really really good and creamy and delicious!

Beef and Broccoli in the slow cooker. This tastes exactly like I wanted it too. It doesn't make as much as I was hoping but it was enough for our family. We served it over rice. I will definitely make this again soon.

Mexican Stuffed Shells. A little different than your regular mexican dish. My family liked these but probably not enough to add to our favorites.

Mushroom, onion and garlic cream sauce. This recipe says it's for pasta but I make it for gnocchi and it's perfect. I just throw in my gnocchi right into the sauce to cook it.

Overnight Peaches and Cream French Toast. The name sort of fools you on this. It's more like a bread pudding. I made this for a breakfast with a friend and it wasn't quite like I was expecting but it's still good. It remind me of a 50's diner dish.

Crispy Cheddar Chicken was amazingly easy and a family favorite. Even picky eaters like this one! The sauce you make for the top is simple yet perfect!

Confessions of a Pinterest Foodie (2)

Yep, I'm at it again. I love my pinterest. Seriously y'all! In case you missed my first "Pinterest Foodie Confessions" post, you can view it here.

Here is another round up of some of the favorites I've made from Pinterest. In no particular order. Click the pictures to view the recipes. Enjoy!

"Crescent Cinnamon Rolls"
These were a HUGE hit in my house. My husband scarfed down 3, and my 3 year old daughter ate 2. Ariana and I made these together one morning while my husband was sleeping in. Great weekend breakfast!

"Creamy White Chicken and Artichoke Lasagna"
Yums! Nice change from plain old regular lasagna and it feels fancier! We added mushrooms to ours but other than that it was perfect!!

"Mini Spiced Chicken Burgers with Mint Greek Yogurt"
My burgers wouldn't stay together when I make these but I love them so much that I just sautee it like taco meat and fill my pita with it. Lots of cucumber and that amazing mint yogurt sauce and you've got a great summertime meal! Perfect with a mojito by the way!

 "Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese"
You feel more grown up while still enjoying childhood comfort food.

 "Oatmeal Lemon Creme Bars"
I never would have thought of creating this. The filling is SO SIMPLE yet so delicious! We were sad when these were all eaten.

 "Peanut Butter Popcorn"
The name says it all. I made this first for my husbands birthday. For just the 2 of us we half this recipe and we also salt ours while it's cooling. We love it so much we've made it on several weekends since. Perfect for movie night!

 "Singapore Noodles"
Pretty easy for "stirfriday" at our house. Love these rice noodles and the shrimp as always is a big hit at our house.

 "Parmesan Roasted Potatoes"
New favorite side dish for fish or chicken!

 "Spicy Srirachi White Bean Dip"
I had some srirachi from another recipe and wanted to find a way to use it. I found this recipe and I think I made it 2 times the first week! We loved it with pita chips. Just the right amount of heat and texture for a bean dip!

"Focaccia with Caramelized Onion, Tomato and Rosemary"
One bite and you'll love this grown up "pizza". I didn't make my own dough though, I had the pouch of pizza dough where you just add water but it still turned out good.

Confessions of a Pinterest Foodie

I've become a Pinterest  recipe addict. There I said it.
Is there a word for that? I feel like there probably is but I'm not cool enough to know what I have become.

When I'm looking for a new recipe, I always go to Pinterest first.
For breakfast with friends, Pinterest.
For a birthday cake, Pinterest.
 For summer bbq ideas, Pinterest.
I'm always adding new yums to my food love board.

Most of my trials have been good. Some were okay. A few were complete fails and we won't even go there.

But, I've found a few delicious favorites and I thought I would share them in case you were looking for some new food ideas.

Click the pictures for the recipes. Enjoy!

"Pina Coda Pops"
These are easy and refreshing for the summer! We all loved them!

"Bloomin Onion Bread"
Oh man, we made this as an appetizer one night and it is GOOD.

"Creamy Coleslaw"
My first ever attempt at making coleslaw and I found this recipe. I halved it and it still made enough for us for dinner and leftovers.

"Cheesecake Fruit Dip"
Not your average fruit dip. This has kahlua in it  and it's the best fruit dip I've had. Delicious on strawberries, pineapple, and green grapes especially!

 "Blueberry Fluff Cake"
2 ingredients - angel food cake mix and can of blueberry pie filling. Could this be any easier? Yummy too!

 "Black Bean Salad"
Black beans, fresh corn, red pepper, avocado and lime juice. I could eat just a bowl of this, it's that good. Definitely a keeper.

 "Quinoa Burgers"
Best non meat burgers I've EVER had. So delicious with yogurt sauce and we served it with the black bean salad above. This is so amazing I've already given the recipe to several friends.

 "Goat Cheese Pesto Pizza"
I made this a few nights ago and it's now one of my favorite pizzas. Make your own simple pesto and throw on the toppings and boom. Gourmet pizza! Even our preschooler loved it!

 "Crockpot Ribs"
Finger licking good. Made these for my husbands birthday dinner and he was grinning ear to ear. These are better than any BBQ restaurant!

"Red Velvet Pancakes"
Perfect for that lazy weekend where you sit around in your pj's and have family time.
