I wish I could get a couch full of pillows from Iviemade.
I would at least settle for these two. I want some new fun colors in our living room and these would do the trick! And she has the cutest blog called E Tells Tales. Her sweet and funny pregnancy posts are giving me baby fever like you wouldn't believe!
In case you are looking for something pretty to wear around your neck, I think these handmade necklaces from Lisa Leonard Designs are sweet! This camera necklace is one of my favorites from her shop.
I found this recipe for some hair therapy for these dry winter months. I tried it but please make sure you don't do what I do, wait for your avocado to be really rip so it's super soft otherwise your hair mask will be lumpy and that's no fun trying to get out of your hair.
So there you have it. Some of my favorite online finds this week.
Do you have any recent favorites you would like to share??

P.S. Handmade and crafty people, read my next post to find out about how your art can have a heart. Let's make this month of LOVE really mean something to those in need! I would love for you to join!
We should all give a little back.
I started this little project to help raise money for domestic violence victims. It started with just art prints from my shop in February. Read about how the project started here.
BUT, for March, I've decided to give 20% of ALL my proceeds to Sister Care.
Now, for the even better news....I want you to join me!
I'm opening this project up to everyone in the handmade industry so we can all help out!
Yep, that means you!
I'm calling it Art With A Heart!
I hope you join us in making our world a little better.
Joining is easy!
1. Find a charity you would like to help out. You can use the same one I am, Sister Care, or you can find one of your own.
2. Donate a portion of your proceeds for the month of March to your good cause. You can donate as little or as much as you want.
3. Spread the word (and love) and blog about Art With A Heart. 4. Add your shop link to the linky below.
(Feel free to snag this button for you blog.)
If you join the Art With A Heart project, please be sure to add your link so we can visit your shop.
Here are the shops/blogs that are participating in Art With A Heart:
I often find myself "window shopping" on Etsy. Loosing track of time, avoiding my household chores, and wishing I had about a million dollars. On occasion, I buy something that grabs my eye. I recently purchased this lovely print. I just received in the mail, and haven't framed it yet, but I have to say, it's even prettier in person!
I decided to share a few other of my Etsy favorites on this cold Friday morning, instead of making my grocery list and running my errands, it's still early, I still have plenty of time for that.
sukanart I love these colors together on this pillow
I love this earring holder and I think my sister would too! andwabisabi
lauraamiss makes a cute teapot print and since I've been drinking more tea lately, I adore this!
Maybe you have seen a few things that inspire you and pull at your heart. Now, I'm off to run some errands and pick up a few things from the grocery store for the weekend cooking. I'm making mini lobster pot pies, yum!!
Note to US shoppers: With the Christmas rush and slowed postal service this time of year, please remember to place your orders by December 8th to guarantee arrival in time for Christmas!
If only I had the time to get this custom made and shipped to me in time for Halloween. I think this would be my costume this year...ahhh a girl can dream. Cute and functional!
I HATE not having a house to decorate for Halloween. It's my favorite holiday, and so far it doesn't look like we will move in until November 2nd. So, I'm making some makeshift decorations this weekend. I'll post pictures soon!
Ok, so I know I said I was going to wait until NEXT WEEK to post a shop update, but I decided to post it today!
I know you're excited!! I AM!!!
First order of business is showing you my two NEW paintings. I've been a very dreamy mood lately. Daydreams galore! I think it has something to do with the end of summer (Autumn is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE season) and the fact that my hubby will be home soon!
I've been smiling...A LOT!
TITLE: "Muddled Dreams", mixed media
SIZE: 11x14 canvas
(Seriously, I'm in love with these colors together)
****AND, VERY IMPORTANT, I will be temporary closing my shop on September 8th to prepare for packing and moving to Germany!! I won't have a re-open date until we get settled in our house over there, so if there is something you want, be sure to get it NOW!*****
If you give a Cat (me) some yarn... she's going to crochet you some cupcakes!
I donated 6 crocheted cupcakes that I made, for a kids summer camp.
I made these cupcakes for South Carolina State University extended school year program in the speech center. Their theme for that week of camp was the book If You Give a Cat a Cupcake by Laura Numeroff.
(Super cute books, if you haven't read them!)
The kids got to decorate them for a fun craft project. They had fun doing it! I'm so glad I got to help out a good cause! I know the kids really need that program.
You may have noticed, I closed it for the week of the move. I will be working on some new fun things while I'm here so be on the lookout for shop updates. I'll let you know in my blog when they happen! I still am getting settled in and getting a routine going for us. I hope my mom doesn't mind me painting in her dining room! :)
**If you want your OWN custom crocheted cupcake (like above), feel free to convo me in my shop and I'll create a custom listing for you! Add code CATLOVESCUPCAKES in the message box to seller at the checkout for FREE SHIPPING!! This discount applies to crocheted cupcakes only, from July 15 - August 5th {my BIRTHDAY!!}
Also my Mint Wood Grain Painting was featured in another treasury the other week. See it, it's the second picture!! Love, love!
You can check it out here and see all the other awesome wood grain-ness. Love it!
I just thought I would post a random update on my lovely life. I have a few things that don't need an entire blog to themselves...they have to share!
First, I was doing some errands the other day and BAAAM this wiener car pulls up beside me in a parking lot! It was so funny I had to take a picture! I couldn't believe it!
Hahaha!
I've had this baby doll, Sissy, since I was 2 years old. She's been stored in the top of my closet. I was cleaning out the closet the other day and got her down and let Ariana play with her. I thought it would just be for the day and then I could put her away again. WRONG! Ariana literally won't put her down. She carries her around all day and takes her in the car and in the bathroom when I give her a bath and everything. It's the cutest thing, to see her with this doll that I loved so much! Sissy is getting passed down!
Here is Ariana at nap the other day. Easter bunny, Snow White, bear, bunny, Sissy, seahorse....and oh yea Ariana! :)
I've been in the mood for glitter nailpolish lately. Usually I don't choose glitter but I find myself picking them up in the stores. Here are some of my new current favorites.
Pure Ice - "Cheatin", "Don't Cloud Me", & "Rockstar Pink"
I'm also loving....
"Play Fair"
I've made you wait long enough! COLORWEEKGIVEAWAYWINNER!!!!!
**drumroll please**
LALA!!!
I randomly choose you using random.org but I'm too lazy to figure out how to post the number. To get your surprise package (it's awesome I promise!) please email you address to me at AFCat84@aol.com. I'll try to get that shipped out to you on Monday! Thanks for playing along in Color Week!!
And, oh yea before I forget...my NEW wood grain painting has been featured in ANOTHER treasury on Etsy!! Check it out here , there is a lot of love related goods if you are in the loving mood like me lately! :)
Filled with warm sunshine, pink lemonade, and fireflies dancing at dusk.
I thought it would be fun to make summery treasury on Etsy!
The theme: pink lemonade!
I had so much fun doing this last night. I wanted to share some of the beautiful things I found on Etsy. Here are the first 4 things in my treasury. But you can find all of the "Pink Lemonade Summer" Treasury here.
I think I picked some pretty awesome things so be sure to check out the whole treasury and leave some love!
I was also honored to have my Peacock painting chosen recently for a treasury!
I was beyond excited to see this!!! Two features of my paintings in just a week! I love it!
EXCITING NEWS!!
TOMORROW, I'm going to be updating my shop with a few things that I've been working on that are finally finished! I'm SO excited to share them! I really think everyone is going to love them. I know I do. I was almost going to keep it for myself.
I know you are curious!
Do you want a little preview?
Well...ok, just a little peek!!
Ok, that's all I'm going to share. Now, you know it has wood grain and hearts! :) I can't share the rest until I take some proper pictures. So, don't forget, tomorrow morning, an Etsy shop update is headed your way.
